Families - we don’t get to choose them, but we can decide on how we manage them. They are not about cutting people off or being selfish. Healthy boundaries actually make relationships feel safer and more respectful. Without them, it’s easy to slip into guilt, obligation, or people-pleasing. Healthy boundaries don’t break families. They reduce resentment, protect mental health, and make connection feel more genuine. You can care deeply about your family and still protect your wellbeing.
