Nadeem Ahmed – Counsellor Therapist

Hi, I’m Nad, Accredited Psychotherapist & Counsellor (MBACP, Accred)

I offer therapy for adults who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, or non-dependent addiction.

Therapy can feel like a big step, but it provides a safe, confidential space to explore your feelings, make sense of what’s happening and start finding ways to feel more in control.

My approach is calm, supportive and tailored to you, helping you build practical tools for everyday life.

Personal Touch

Small steps can lead to meaningful change.

Client Focus

I work with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, low self-esteem, stress, and the effects of difficult life experiences. My clients range from young adults to older adults, each with their own story and challenges. I take a calm, steady approach, helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and build practical, manageable changes that last.

Background

My interest in therapy comes from a curiosity about how we think, feel, and react, and how small shifts can make a real difference. This led me to become an Accredited Psychotherapist (MBACP).

I hold an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies and diplomas in Counselling, Hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT skills. With over eight years working in complex mental health settings, I help adults manage anxiety, trauma, depression and non-dependent addiction using tailored, client-centred therapy.

Therapy Approach

I support adults with:

  • Anxiety Disorders – including generalised anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and OCD
  • Depression & Low Mood – low motivation, sadness, and feelings of hopelessness
  • Trauma & PTSD – processing past experiences and building resilience
  • Non-Dependent Addiction – patterns of behaviour or substance use that don’t require specialist medical treatment
  • Life Transitions & Stress – coping with changes in work, relationships, or personal direction
  • Faith & Spiritual Awareness – for clients wishing to integrate spiritual perspectives into therapy

Testimonials

Client Feedback

I came to Nad with an issue which I feel is now well and truly overcome. Nad is approachable and knowledgeable in his feild and makes you feel welcome from the 1st session. I can't thank him enough for the time spent together. I would 100% recommend his expertise to anyone who feels they have a problem... if you believe you can achieve

Nad is great at what he does. Not only does he listen in a non judgemental way but he also gives practical solutions to problems which is really helpful. He is good at helping you reflect on an issue and come up with a solution and put in practical steps to move forward. I struggled for years to get into exercising but now more motivated for first time in a long time. Thanks for the great support

Nad will go above and beyond the scheme to help you. Life is easy and he will help you to find the way to resolve your issue. He asked the right questions. Most important Nadeem will give you skills for life to understand yourself and your choices. Very professional manners. Highly recommend.

I found Uplift Therapy Solutions when I was at my lowest I’ve ever been, had an online consultation with Nad who understood what I was going through and arranged a face to face meeting within a week. Nad helped me every week and understood what I was going through even when I took step backs. After several months Nad helped me find me again and I will never forget what he has done for me. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with uplift therapy solutions. Nad was incredible — patient, clear and genuinely invested in helping me improve. He helped me understand my patterns of overthinking and gave me practical tools to handle my anxious situations. Overall, he’s not just a skilled therapist but also a genuinely good person who truly wants to help. I’m really grateful for everything I learned and can’t thank Nad enough for all his support throughout.
