I am an experienced, Italian speaking, Cognitive Behavioural therapist (CBT) and Dynamic Interpersonal therapist (DIT) with over 17 years of clinical experience. I offer evidence-based, psychotherapy methods to promote self-understanding amongst patients suffering with a variety of problems, including interpersonal difficulties, Depression and Anxiety related difficulties.

Personal Touch

What drew me to psychotherapy was seeing-both personally and professionally-how quickly we can blame ourselves when we are struggling. I became curious about why certain emotional patterns repeat, even when we are trying our best to think differently or 'do the right thing'. I work integratively with CBT and DIT, supporting people to make sense of both present-day difficulties and longer-standing relationship patterns. My aim is to offer a space that is thoughtful, collaborative and emotionally safe, where difficulties are understood, not judged. Therapy isn't about fixing what's 'wrong', it's about understanding what makes sense and finding new ways forward.

Client Focus

I work with adults (18+) experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties including: Anxiety and excessive worrying, low modo and depression, stress and burnout, panic attacks, health anxiety, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, Loss of confidence and low self-esteem, difficulties with self-criticism and perfectionism, relationships and interpersonal difficulties, repeated or unhelpful patterns in relationships, life transition and adjustment difficulties (eg menopause, separation, work-related change), emotional overwhelms and feeling 'stuck', PTSD and trauma-related difficulties, impact off long-term stress and insomnia.

Background

I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology in Italy in 2000. Based in the UK since 2003, I further trained as Psychodynamic Counsellor, CBT Therapist and DIT Therapist. I have worked extensively in both the public and private sectors, supporting a wide range of clients with varying levels of complexity. This breadth of experience informs a thoughtful, flexible and evidence-based approach, tailored to each individual.
