We’ve launched a new upgrade to the Counselling.Network Video Library: an optional Video SEO Booster that helps your videos show up more clearly in search, without making the process feel technical or overwhelming.
This isn’t about turning your video into “AI content”. Your video is still yours. This upgrade simply helps you add the supporting text Google relies on to understand what your video is about.
Optional, not required
Your videos work perfectly fine without any extra fields.
But if you want to improve discoverability, you can now add a few extra details that help Google (and clients) understand your video, faster.
A simple strength score that makes it easy
To make this feel achievable, we’ve added a strength score that increases as you improve your video metadata.
Here’s the flow:
-
Upload a video → Score starts at 0%
-
Add a title → ~20%
-
Add a short description → ~40%
-
Click “Optional: Boost Google Indexing” to expand extra fields
-
Add a full description → ~65%
-
Add 2 “Who This Helps” items → ~85%
-
Select 3 tags → 100% 🎉
It’s designed to feel like progress, not pressure.
New fields (only if you want them)
When you expand Boost Google Indexing, you’ll see:
-
Full Description (up to 2000 characters)
A more detailed explanation of what your video covers, using the language clients actually search for. -
Who This Helps
Short, specific bullet points like “People dealing with panic symptoms” or “Those navigating relationship conflict”.
Specific beats generic every time. -
Tags
Choose a few predefined tags (e.g., anxiety, CBT, stress) so videos across the platform are categorised consistently.
New: “Generate All” AI Assist (you approve everything)
If you’d rather not write these fields from scratch, you can click Generate All.
AI Assist will create a strong starting point based on your profile details, such as your location and specialisms:
-
Title
-
Short description
-
Full description
-
5 “Who This Helps” suggestions
You can edit everything before saving. Think of it like a first draft that you can make sound like you.
Why we built this
These fields feed directly into the data that powers our video indexing and the video sitemaps we submit to Google. In plain English: it gives search engines clearer information, which can improve how your video pages are discovered.
A quick tip
If you only do two things, do these:
-
Add a clear title with your name and location
-
Add a short description that says who you help and how you work
Everything else is optional, but the strength score makes it easy to see what’s worth doing next.
