Rita Charalambides – Counsellor Therapist

Hello, I'm Rita a psychosynthesis counsellor. I work with people who are seeking to understand the bigger picture of their lives - where they fit into the world and how they relate to their own story. We are shaped by our experiences and yet we are more than our history. Through our work together, I will gently guide you in remembering who truly are, moving beyond familiar narratives and old patterns.

Client Focus

I work with individuals 18+. I offer an initial 15 minutes telephone consultation where we can explore if we if we would be a good fit to work together.

Background

I am a qualified counsellor currently in my final year at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, where I am working towards my Psychotherapy Diploma. I have also completed a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology and have been practising for two years. My experience includes supporting individuals with a wide range of concerns, such as:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Family issues and life transitions
  • Personal development and self-esteem
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Work-related stress
My approach is grounded in psychosynthesis, which adds depth to my work and helps clients explore their concerns more holistically. I strive to create a warm and supportive environment for all my clients.

Therapy Approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in psychosynthesis and centres on the here and now. I aim to help you explore your present-day experiences while drawing on insights from the past to support meaningful change.

In our sessions, we will typically:
  • Engage in meditation and awareness practices to tune into your body, emotions, and mind.
  • Work together to connect more fully with your sense of self.
  • Explore how past experiences influence your current feelings and behaviours.
  • Focus on fostering meaningful change in your life.
  • Create a safe space for open dialogue and reflection.
I believe that this approach can lead to deeper self-understanding and personal growth.
