Refer a colleague, earn credit (and they get £5 off)
Title: Refer a colleague, earn credit (and they get £5 off)
Short summary (for cards): Invite fellow counsellors from your dashboard. They get £5 off their first month, and you earn £5 credit once they’ve paid for two months.
Article body:
We’ve launched the Counselling Network Referral Programme to make it easier to help your colleagues join the platform — and to thank you when they do.
It’s simple: you invite someone you genuinely think would benefit, they get a discount, and you earn credit when they become an active paying member.
How it works (simple version)
You send an invite from your dashboard
Your colleague signs up using your referral link
They get £5 off their first month
After they’ve paid for two months, you earn £5 credit
Where to find it
In your dashboard, go to:
Dashboard → Referrals
Sending invites (quick steps)
Enter one or more email addresses
You can paste multiple emails separated by commas
You can also paste “Name email@address.com” format if you want
Preview the invite (optional)
Click Send Invites
Track results in your referrals page (opens, clicks, sign-ups, and qualified referrals)
To keep things high quality and avoid spam:
Up to 50 invites per day
A 30-day wait before re-inviting the same person
If someone unsubscribes, they can’t be re-invited
The rewards
Your colleague gets
£5 off their first month
You get
£5 referral credit once they’ve paid for two months
Credit is automatically applied to your subscription
Up to £5 per month is applied (so savings are spread out)
Credit never expires
Example: if you have £15 credit, £5 will be applied to each of your next three invoices.
Tracking (so you know what’s working)
Your referral dashboard shows:
Invites sent
Opened
Clicked
Registered
Qualified (paid 2+ months)
And your current referral credit balance is visible at the top.
If you’re on a Lifetime plan
If you don’t have an active subscription payment:
You can still invite colleagues
Your colleagues still get £5 off
You won’t build usable billing credit (because there’s no invoice to apply it to)
It’s still a great way to support the community and help peers build visibility.
A helpful way to use it
This works best with people who already know you:
Supervision groups
Training cohorts
Local therapist networks
Colleagues you genuinely think would benefit
A quick personal message alongside the invite often makes the biggest difference.
Small note: referral credit is only available if you joined without using a promo code.
