Hello, and welcome.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and finding the right space to talk is so important. I aim to offer a warm, safe, and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and able to explore whatever you may be facing at your own pace.
I also understand, from personal experience, just how powerful it can be to have that kind of space. My own journey has shown me the value of being open, of feeling truly listened to, and of making sense of life’s challenges alongside someone you trust. Through this, I’ve experienced how greater calm, insight, and self-acceptance can emerge—even in uncertain times.
Alongside this, my professional background includes working as a chartered psychologist, accredited psychotherapist and counsellor, clinical supervisor, and psychological researcher. I’ve had the privilege of supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds, and I bring that experience into the work I do today.
I continue to develop both personally and professionally, and it’s this ongoing journey that led me to create Redgate Wellbeing—a place where you can feel supported as you take your next steps forward.
My path into specialising in psychological trauma is deeply personal. When my son was diagnosed with cancer at the age of five, our family faced a time of profound uncertainty and pain. Through that experience, I came to understand just how vital it is to have the right kind of support during life’s most difficult moments.
Out of that journey, I was inspired to create a support service for families going through similar challenges, which became The Joshua Tree, a children’s cancer charity. Supporting others in this way was both humbling and meaningful, and it shaped the way I understand resilience, connection, and care.
These experiences also gave me the courage to establish my own therapeutic practice, where I now support people who may be struggling to cope, to make sense of their experiences, and to find ways to live more fully.
My work is grounded in a strong commitment to learning, professional development, and high standards of care. Over many years, this has led me to complete a PhD in Psychological Trauma, alongside a range of other qualifications that support my clinical practice.
I bring extensive experience to my work, including many years as CEO and Founder of The Joshua Tree, a children’s cancer charity, where I supported families facing significant life challenges. More recently, I have established my own private practice, continuing my dedication to helping individuals navigate and make sense of difficult experiences.
I am a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in line with their ethical frameworks and professional standards.
