Eloise Stapleton – Counsellor Therapist

she/her

Perhaps you've spent years holding it all together while feeling anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself. I'm Eloise, a trauma-informed Psychosynthesis counsellor offering a space to reconnect with yourself and support healing and growth.

Personal Touch

I love to read, all sorts of genres, and I love to knit. I enjoy strength training and getting out in nature with my dog.

Client Focus

Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to be who they needed to be for others. They are thoughtful, caring, and capable, yet often find themselves doubting their own feelings, needs, or instincts. They may struggle to say no, put other people's needs before their own, or wonder why they keep finding themselves in the same painful situations and relationships.

Perhaps you have spent much of your life looking outside yourself for answers, seeking reassurance, validation, or permission from others. You may feel disconnected from who you are, unsure of what you truly want, or exhausted from trying to keep the peace and meet other people's expectations.

Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, listen more deeply to yourself, and begin building trust in your own thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I offer a space where you can be yourself and be supported. Together, we will explore not only what is happening in your life now, but also how your family, culture, race, heritage, class, faith, sexuality, relationships, and life experiences may have shaped the beliefs you hold about yourself, others, and what feels possible for your life.

My approach is grounded in Psychosynthesis, a holistic and trauma-informed form of therapy that works with the whole person. Alongside exploring thoughts and emotions, I pay attention to what is happening in the body, the feelings that arise in the present moment, and the parts of ourselves that can become hidden as we adapt to life's challenges.

I see people as more than their struggles, wounds, or coping strategies. My role is not to tell you who you are, but to help you discover and trust that for yourself.

Over time, therapy can help you develop greater self-trust, clearer boundaries, more freedom of choice, and a stronger connection to your own voice. It can support you in relating to yourself with greater compassion and living with more authenticity, confidence, and inner steadiness.

Therapy Approach

My approach is grounded in Psychosynthesis, a holistic and trauma-informed form of therapy that works with the whole person. Alongside exploring thoughts and emotions, I pay attention to what is happening in the body, the feelings that arise in the present moment, and the parts of ourselves that can become hidden as we adapt to life's challenges.

My approach is also trauma-informed, this means I focus on pacing - avoiding the urgency trauma can bring. My aim is to gentle explore what brings you to therapy and to avoid re-traumatisation. Some sessions will focus on building up tools and resources to help keep you present, as regulated as is possible.
