Jenny Lynn – Psychotherapist

n/a

I am here to offer you a safe and non-judgemental environment where you can process your own issues. My approach is empathic and easy-going, allowing for genuine connection. I can provide spiritual insights into the underlying causes of your presenting problems, which can help you gain clarity and understanding.

In our sessions, we will typically:

  • Explore your feelings and experiences in a supportive manner.

  • Identify the underlying causes of your concerns.

  • Discuss spiritual insights that may resonate with you.

  • Work together to foster self-acceptance and growth.

  • Create a space where you feel comfortable to share openly.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Personal Touch

I've practiced a Japanese form of Buddhism for over 40 years and I'm still not perfect! My personal development has been my life's achievement.....and ongoing process. We are all signposting the way for each other: that's if we are open hearted and open minded enough to learn and assimilate new ways, process the old, and stay present with all of life's vicissitudes. The Buddhist philosophy underpins my practice, not because I designed it that way, but because it just is who I have become.

My second most important and inspired soul's journey has been dance. Dance of all kinds, including blues, jive, latin, ballroom, tango. etc. When things have been tough, dance has always raised my spirits and inspired me to keep true to my own identity, not giving up mine for someone else's. I became a teacher of dance a while ago for  a few years which added to my identity as a way shower and fellow experiencer.

I was inspired to devote my life to personal development when I experienced a profound shift at age 29 in a couple of poignant therapy sessions with a similar hearted/ minded soul. It turned out, many years later, when I trained in my modalities that our upline teachers, once removed, were the same man. That amazing man has inspired thousands of therapists to work with their hearts, their souls, and to still stay centred and professional. I never met him, he is long since gone, but he was a giant of a man and I owe him a lot. Bless you Bill.

Client Focus

I prefer to work with clients who have tried everything else first. I am not a  'get fixed quick' type of therapist who will take responsibility for your process. You bring your whole being to me, and I will help you unknot it and organise it so that you can find your inner sense of calm. I do not do that for you.

In other words, you need to be sensitive to your own inner workings, and are genuinely looking to find someone  you can work with, not someone who will 'cure' you. The net result is often relief, inspiration, hope.....but I have no pill to offer to you neatly, without a bit of deep soul searching on your part.

What I can promise, is that you have my full attention and you are safe in my sessions. There is no judgement nor condemnation for what you have experienced in life. Life can be hard, and I believe, it is our job to learn from those lessons and become the best version of ourselves.

I am happy working with children as long as the mother/father is involved. Children are symptoms of the family system. They are not the source of the disturbance. If that resonates with you, please contact me.

My most practiced speciality is ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Many people experience relief from symptoms, a growing self confidence, and a quieter mind.

My way of working is a mix of counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. Every session will be different depending on what you have processed from the previous session. I will bring in a range of different styles, and techniques, that flow effortlessly into the dialogue we are having, chosen at that moment, to push on a slightly open door. This can create huge relief, and the release often, of many years of suppressed emotions. Better out than in, as they say!

Background

I trained privately for 3 years around the turn of the millennium. My teacher was the Maverick graduate of an American heart centred man who had settled in the UK. My teacher held the baton up for those that followed him, and now I do the same with my colleagues.

I have had 25 years experience working in a transpersonal or spiritual way with counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. The method is integrative, but the soul of it is transpersonal. It is through working deeply in this way, that I've recognised the mind/body link in diseases such as ME/CFS, FM, and various other autoimmune conditions.

As a result, I have spent 20 years educating and leading my colleagues in this integrative transpersonal approach that is necessary to get to the root cause of many conditions that medical science are dumbfounded with.

It requires clients to understand they are powerful and that with the right insights and nudges, they can heal. I witness many healings, not because I administered this or that technique, but because my clients and I resonate together. This means they are open to adopting a new way of being in an environment of safety and support.

Therapy Approach

Sessions are spiritual, integrative, transpersonal incorporating a range of techniques and styles that are in flow with your personal journey. That means, every session will be different, every bit of homework will be tailored to you, and as you evolve, you will recognise how you got off track, and how you can stay on track in your new awareness.

The ride can, at times, be bumpy if you've expended years of energy protecting a part of you, you're scared to reveal. However, you can be witnessed and seen in my sessions and know that it is not as scarey as your body once told you it was. This can lead to a sense of lightness and freedom. I work deep, not long. I do not have a prescription. I cannot tell you how long or how many sessions you will need. Only you know that. I can however, tell you it's probably not worth doing less than 3 sessions. It can take some time to establish where you are flowing and where you are blocked.

I hope this gives you some insight into how I work.
