I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can speak openly, at your own pace, without fear of judgement.
My approach is gentle, patient, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I will work alongside you to explore what’s been going on for you, helping you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and supporting you to move towards greater understanding, self-acceptance, and change.
Alongside my professional experience, I’m someone who understands that life can feel overwhelming at times. I know how difficult it can be to open up, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time.
You don’t need to have the “right words” or have everything figured out — we can take things step by step together. This understanding is at the heart of how I work, with kindness, patience, and respect for your pace.
I work particularly well with adults and young people aged 16+ who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, or a strong inner critic. You might find yourself overthinking, struggling with low self-esteem, or feeling not “good enough,” even when others don’t see it.
Many of the people I support are carrying the impact of past experiences such as trauma or difficult relationships, which can show up in the present as low mood, people-pleasing, or finding it hard to trust themselves or others.
I also work with those navigating grief, loss, and life transitions — times when things feel uncertain or emotionally heavy.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can begin to understand yourself more deeply, at your own pace, and gently work towards feeling more grounded, confident, and self-accepting.
I am a BACP-registered, person-centred counsellor with over 12 years’ experience working with adults and young people aged 16+. I hold a PG Diploma in Counselling from the University of Strathclyde.
I have supported clients with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, suicidal thoughts, identity & life transitions.
My training is grounded in the person-centred approach and I am committed to ongoing professional development. I work in line with professional ethical standards and attend regular supervision to support safe, reflective, and effective practice. I offer both in-person sessions in Paisley and online counselling to suit your needs.
In our sessions, I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted just as you are.
We will work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you, without pressure or expectation. My approach is person-centred, which means I won’t direct or tell you what to do. Instead, I will listen carefully, reflect with you, and support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings more deeply.
