Explore therapy-type search patterns, see whether your profile appeared in results, and learn how to use the new Search Interest page thoughtfully.
We are pleased to introduce Search Interest, a new insight page in the Counselling.Network counsellor dashboard. It shows which therapy types visitors have searched for and how that activity has changed over recent weeks.
Search Interest is designed to help you understand what people are looking for on the site and review how clearly your profile describes the work you actually offer. It is a guide to site activity, not a measure of clinical need or a recommendation to change your practice.
What you can see
Choose the last week, four weeks or twelve weeks to view search totals and weekly patterns.
The page uses completed days, so today is excluded from weekly totals. A table compares therapy types, recent seven-day activity and trends. The “You Appeared” column shows whether your profile was included in results for that therapy type.
Top opportunities this week highlights approaches with recent searches and shows whether your profile appeared. If you genuinely offer an approach, you can review your profile details to make sure they describe it accurately. A “No” result is not a judgement of your skill or suitability.
Read the figures with care
The figures count searches, not unique people. Someone may search several times, and a search cannot tell us what support a person needs. The trends help you spot changes in on-site interest; your clinical judgement and the truth of your practice remain separate.
